If you keep comparing it to HP of course it's gonna be alike! I wouldn't notice! It sounds great, but change the glove and shop bit. Make it so that they have to stuble across their stones, (I.e on a walk through a forest) or retrrieve it from a dangerous place, I.e a monsters stomach high in the mountains. As soon as they find their stone they make a transformation, like from a girl to an elegant thingymagigy. They could be like mermaids , enchanting alluring and mystirious, but they have legs. excuse my dodgy spelling!
