Why do outsiders always Hate on Buffalo, NY?

The city is a great place to live, free from any natural disasters, friendly people, and the best wings in the world! I am just confused as to why buffalo has such a bad reputation. Whenever i hear the city mentions nationally, it is either about snow or 4 superbowl loses.
